As I stood looking out my window,

I wondered what would now become of me.

I looked left and I looked right,

It seemed like my Love was gone from me. Continue reading “HOW THE GOSPEL CHANGED MY LIFE: A Poem – Unfailing Love”

HOW THE GOSPEL CHANGED MY LIFE: The Blood is enough!

It has been very popular for Christians to still feel inadequate even after they have given their lives to Christ. It’s then as if despite that God has welcomed us into His family and forgiven our sins, we still have something more to do to make us acceptable to Him.
This is a very wrong notion. God loves us all and his forgiveness is real and complete. I believe that all that is left for us to do after salvation is to bask in the newness of life that He has given to us and commit ourselves to the study of His Word and constant communion and fellowship with Him (prayer). This way, we are built up to become what He wants us to be.
Stop trying to work for what you have already freely gotten. He loves you, and that is real!

HOW THE GOSPEL CHANGED MY LIFE: Has He really forgiven me?

now

I feel ashamed to talk to God, my sin is just too grave, I can’t face God in the reality of what I just did, He is very disappointed in me … these and many nagging and condemning thoughts plagues the heart of many people when they sin. But Continue reading “HOW THE GOSPEL CHANGED MY LIFE: Has He really forgiven me?”

HOW THE GOSPEL CHANGED MY LIFE: He’s a real good Father

black-father-with-children

I used to think that God punishes us for every single sin we commit, and that if He doesn’t get to punish us immediately, He’s waiting for you with a ripple effect in the future. I guess it’s because I grew up under Nigerian parents (Most Nigerians would understand this); it took quite a long while Continue reading “HOW THE GOSPEL CHANGED MY LIFE: He’s a real good Father”
